Hello from Year 1
Welcome to Year 1’s Class.
We aim to be a creative and fun-loving team to support the children as they transition from the Early Years curriculum to Key Stage 1. The children are engaged with their learning through a creative curriculum, providing them with opportunities to extend their learning and deepen their understanding through guided and independent work. We enjoy learning inside and outside the classroom and learning through play continues to be an important part of our school day as we steadily move into formal learning as the year progresses.

In Year 1, we promise to be kind, curious and courageous: to listen to one another, celebrate every small step, keep trying when learning feels tricky and help everyone in our class feel safe, valued and ready to flourish.
