A bright beginning at St Thomas's

Big adventures
start small.

A warm, caring Nursery where children from age two can play, explore and grow in confidence — at the heart of our school family.

Welcome to Nursery

A place to belong from day one

St Thomas's offers high-quality early years provision as part of our school for children aged 2–11. Children can join Nursery at the start of the term after their second birthday and stay with us through ages three and four.

We know every family is different. Morning and afternoon sessions, together with 15-hour and eligible 30-hour places, make it easier to find a pattern that works for your child and your week.

Most importantly, every session is full of patient encouragement, purposeful play and the secure relationships young children need to flourish.

Every day is different

Little moments. Lasting foundations.

Our Early Years setting gives children time, space and support to learn through the things they naturally love doing.

Play with purpose

Children build confidence, language and friendships through thoughtful, child-led play.

Follow curiosity

Inviting spaces encourage little learners to investigate, imagine and make discoveries of their own.

Explore outdoors

Fresh air, movement and nature are part of our rhythm, with plenty of room for joyful adventure.

Understanding funded hours

Funding can feel complicated. Here is the simple starting point — and our team will gladly help you understand what your family can claim.

CHECK YOUR ELIGIBILITY
2

For two-year-olds

Two government-funded schemes are available: one for families receiving certain additional forms of government support, and another for eligible working parents.

3+

For three and four-year-olds

Every child is entitled to 15 hours of free early education. Eligible working parents can receive 30 funded hours each week.

Sessions that fit family life

We offer morning and afternoon sessions, with 15-hour and 30-hour patterns for eligible families. Breakfast and after-school care is also available from the term after a child turns three.
